Save the Children

Throughout the summer months, at a farm in Hill Deverill, Wiltshire people give up their time to create Cream Teas (and bake cakes and savouries) to raise money for Save the Children. Hill Deverill Farm is a beautiful setting, with a barn for the teas and gardens to explore or sit out in when the weather’s fine.

The following images show the beautiful setting for the day

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge written in 1797-98.

Coleridge lived in Nether Stowey and it was whilst here that he visited Watchet. It was the harbour at Watchet that provided the inspiration to write The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. His longest work.

The above statue commemorates Coleridge and his magnificent poem.

The poem can be found in its entirety here
