You give me fever in more ways than one…
Sailing Kittiwake
Mu and I have been watching a YouTube channel called Sailing Kittiwake for quite some time now. It charts the travels of a young couple, initially on a Catamaran called Kittiwake (hence the Channel name) and then on a Sailing Boat. The last episode we watched, last week explained that the female of the couple had contracted Dengue Fever!
Dengue Fever is a mosquito-transmitted disease and not at all pleasant, even in a mild form. Here is detail about it
The couple had been sailing and living in the Caribbean and she had contracted the disease. She is almost fully over the episode now thankfully, but it had been an ordeal.
Dengue Fever
This made me think of the band Dengue Fever. They are a Cambodian/American Indie Rock band or at least they were when I saw them. They formed in the 2000’s and you can read all about how they did here.

I really love the graphic for album Venus On Earth from which “Tiger Phone Card” comes. It really sums up everything about the band. You can listen to the album here

My favourite cover is by The Cramps from their album Songs the Lord Taught Us. Such a great version of the song. Such a great album also, I still have this on vinyl from way back.
