WHAT IS murpworks AFLOAT?

In 2018, murpworks started a grand venture and it was afloat! We bought a narrowboat to liveaboard and murpworks' creative home moved aboard with us. mu ran a studio; drawing, painting, animating & creating from there and rp photographed, wrote and planned.

We purchased a 58ft Traditional Stern narrowboat and we scrambled to adapt to life afloat on the canal network of England & Wales. A simpler, more impact-conscious & closer-to-nature lifestyle beckons but, with engine bits, solar panels and a multi-fuel stove to contend with, there were challenges ahead. However, we survived and for a year, it reflected in what murpworks created...

In 2020, the dream resurfaced from the mud at the bottom of the canal. It was little mirky for a time, what with the Covid-19 lockdown in effect but behind the scenes we planned our move when it was safe, we moved to liveaboard: Nb Silverdale.

We were at home and fully dedicated to bringing Beside the Seaside - a pixel art, seaside side-scroller into being. However, as is the way of the world, things change.

And so, up to date. After a while living aboard Nb Silverdale, we abandoned the water for a life on land and swapped it for a tower, of sorts (it's a long way to the top (flat)). With a boatful of memories, our ideas are spiraling upward.
