The Rime of the Ancient Mariner<\/a> is a poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge written in 1797-98.<\/p>\n

Coleridge lived in Nether Stowey and it was whilst here that he visited Watchet<\/a>. It was the harbour at Watchet that provided the inspiration to write\u00a0The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. His longest work.<\/p>\n

The above statue commemorates Coleridge and his magnificent poem.<\/p>\n
