RP has pretentions of becoming a writer. He initially put pen to paper a few years ago but found he needed to actualy move the pen about on the page to actualy obtain output. Armed with this knowledge he progressed, little by little. Poetry eased the savage beast. He then got rid of the savage beast because it howled at night, made a mess in the garden and the neighbours were begining to get annoyed. He moved on to writing short stories and was drawn to Horror as a genre by his love of HP Lovecraft’s stories. His appetite whetted, he progressed on to a longer work, breaking it down into bite-sized chunks. He decided to inject a missing ingredient – humour. Inspirations came from various sources; daily observations and Carry On Screaming to name but two. The result is ‘The Rising Tentacle’.
