I’m just putting the finishing touches to Sauce – a new Tentacle Tales… short story. It will be available soon via the Short Stories link above.

I’m a big fan of H.P., you could say it was the source of my inspiration! The bottle shape is perfection and although the label/logo has changed over the years, there is a line of succession that shows its heritage. Mu bought me the book; The True Story of H.P. Sauce by Dinsdale Landen and Jennifer Daniel. Methuen. ISBN  0-413-56390-1. It’s full of history, illustrations. photo’s and the music to a song in French called LA SAUCE HP.

Just finished A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow by George R. R. Martin. I’ve still got a long way to go before I get to read A Dance with Dragons which is now out though. I’m a slow reader. However, I’ve made a decision, I’m taking a Song of Ice and Fire holiday to read something different. It’s a difficult decision, the last few words of Steel and Snow linger at the back of my thoughts and when I least expect it, urge me to read the follow-on in Blood and Gold. And the book I’ll holiday with?

  • Morlock Night by K. W. Jeter, the man who coined the term Steampunk!

Steampunk has always been on the back burner but it’s piquing my interest at the moment.

I’ve also been reading some stuff by my new favourite comic writer; Brian Wood.

  • Northlanders Book 1 – Vikings done good!
  • DMZ Vol 1 – A journalist stranded in the middle of New York, in the middle of a civil war!

I do hope Chapter 12 makes you laugh, it makes me laugh but I wrote it so it doesn’t count.

The festival is more than a nod to my favorite HP Lovecraft story, The Festival. It is a delicious story, ideal for telling around an open fire at Christmas and one I never get tired of reading.

The Mingsport Messenger – no rumours of Telegram hacking here…

Amulets, Talismans and Totems – this is a book I’d like to write one day.

I’m particularly pleased with Bernard’s dueling pistol.
