Higgs Boson (Found) Within Reach
Another step nearer the, so far elusive Higgs Boson. CERN at the LHC announces Higgs within Reach whilst everyone else reports Higgs Boson discovered – BBC article here. Don’t hold your breath though, there are still months of analysis before any confirmation can be made that it is the Higgs Boson or should that be the Higgs Boson of the Standard Model? It’s all exciting stuff though, Rolf Heuer, the director of CERN is a legend! He reminds me so much of James Coburn! I was just waiting for him to say ‘Duck You Sucker!’.
This is all old news though, Schrödinger and max found the Higgs Boson last week, down the back of the sofa!
